How working days are calculated
We count every date from today to December 31, including both. Each date goes into exactly one bucket: a weekend day, a statutory holiday that falls on a weekday, or a working day. That way no date is ever subtracted twice.

Statutory holidays rules
Statutory holidays in Canada are set by each province and territory. The national view counts only the holidays every province shares, so choose your province or territory for your real figure.
Widely observed days that aren't statutory where you are, such as Ontario's Civic Holiday in August, aren't counted. Federally regulated workplaces (such as banks, airlines and telecoms) follow the Canada Labour Code, which has its own list.
